CVBL: Dallas Wins
Dallas star Perry led his team to a win today in a key game against Oklahoma Cty. Although standings were at stake, the game was as much about bragging rights as anything. The teams have a long history against each other that began when coaches Bob and Bob traded insults after an apparently intentional injury to one of Bob's players. Although Bob has long denied that there was any malicious intent, Dallas fans don't believe it and turn out in large numbers whenever Oklahoma Cty comes to town.
Dallas was led by Perry (17 points, 12 boards, 5 assists, a steal, a block), Forrester (30 points, 3 assists, a block), Olguin (8 points, 12 assists, 3 steals). Oklahoma Cty was led by Mcneil (20 points, 7 boards, 5 assists, 3 steals), Johnson (15 points, 9 boards, 2 assists, 4 blocks), Judson (15 points, 1 assists, 5 blocks).
Dallas are now 14-11 and 5-5 at home. They move up to #2 in the Southwest and advance to #7 overall in the Western Conference. Oklahoma Cty are now 12-11. They hold at #4 in the Northwest and remain at #10 overall in the Western Conference.
