Charlotte closed the deficit to LA Clippers in the CVBL Finals 1-3 after a great game by Bailey saved them from upset and keyed a 97-87 overtime win over LA Clippers. "I guess we got a bit overconfident and overlooked them," said Charlotte coach Bob. "You should never believe your own press, but that's what we did. Fortunately we had Bailey out there, who was on fire from the start and whose intensity gradually rubbed off on the rest of the players. It's a shame it took them so long to wake up, but we'll be happy with the win."
