CVBL: Sacramento Beats Utah
Sacramento beat Utah 111-105 today in a great game. Although some pundits were predicting a blowout, the two teams delivered a memorable game that left the fans on the edges of their seats until the very end. "It's one of those games that nobody should have to lose," said Sacramento coach Bob. "I'm definitely glad it wasn't us."
Utah coach Coach Young will be rethinking some of his choices for some time. "I thought we tried the right things at the right times, but of course hindsight is perfect. Obviously not everything we did worked, though, and in a game like this that could have made the difference."
Sacramento was led by Weaver (10 points, 9 assists, 5 steals), Crandell (17 points, 6 boards, 1 assists), Gould (13 points, a steal, 3 blocks). Utah was led by Dixson (27 points, a steal, a block), Henderson (13 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks), Bowling (17 points, 1 assists).
After today's win, Sacramento jump to 20-6 and 14-2 at home. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and hold at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Utah stand at 14-10. They stay at #2 in the Northwest and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference.
