CVBL: Minnesota 107, Brooklyn 88 in Shocker

Brooklyn came in as the heavy favorites and played like they knew it, in one of the laziest efforts the league has seen for a while. "Before the game, I kept telling them that they needed to stay focused. Sure, Minnesota isn't very good, but they're not going to lay down and play dead either," said Brooklyn coach Bob. "But nothing worked. I even heard some players betting on the margin of victory." That overconfidence cost them, as they lost 107-88.

The credit goes to Minnesota coach Bob, who had his team playing the best they've played in a while. The game plan was perfect, and Minnesota took advantage of every opportunity they were given. "We caught them with their guard down," he said after the game. "They'd probably win a rematch, but that doesn't matter. All that matters is today's score."

Minnesota was led by Glover (8 points, 19 boards, 3 assists), Johnson (11 points, a steal, a block), White (22 points, a block). Brooklyn was led by Duncan (9 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, a block), Fletcher (14 points, a steal), Garcia (11 points, 2 steals, a block).

Minnesota improve to 8-17 and 7-8 at home with today's victory. They stay at #5 in the Northwest and stay at #14 overall in the Western Conference. With the loss, Brooklyn stand at 15-12. They remain at #2 in the Atlantic and hold at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference.
