CVBL: Miami Surprises Chicago
A sloppy performance by Chicago cost them this afternoon against Miami. "You play like that, and you're going to get beaten," said Chicago coach Bob after the game. "Doesn't matter who you're playing - we proved that today." Poor play all afternoon, especially in clutch situations, proved costly for Chicago and negated a solid outing by Sigler.
Miami was led by Perry (14 points, 9 boards, 9 assists), Hively (15 points, 9 boards, 4 assists, 2 blocks), Byrd (13 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 3 blocks). Chicago was led by Sigler (19 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Meyers (19 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Wilson (8 points, a steal).
After today's victory, Miami stand at 14-12 and 7-6 at home. They hold at #3 in the Southeast and improve to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference. Chicago are now 18-8 with today's loss. They hold at #2 in the Central and hold at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference.
