But the tide finally turned in the end, with Phoenix star Dupree leading his team to victory.

"Definitely a great game," said Phoenix coach Bob after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Dupree was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."

Phoenix was led by Dupree (38 points, 8 boards, 1 assists), Celaya (23 points), Hunt (5 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals, a block). Charlotte was led by Leonard (32 points, 4 assists, a steal, a block), Morse (21 points, 4 assists, a block), Murphy (14 points, 12 boards, 2 assists, a block).

Phoenix jump to 14-13 and 8-4 at home after the victory. They stay at #3 in the Pacific and improve to #7 overall in the Western Conference. Charlotte stand at 12-13. They hold at #2 in the Southeast and stay at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference.
