CVBL: Denver Snatches Win over Sacramento

Sacramento came up short today against Denver, falling 95-85. "That was a really tough game to lose," said Sacramento coach Bob after the game. "We came in thinking we could beat these guys. And we really played them well. But a few too many mistakes on our part kept us from getting the 'W'." One player who definitely can't be too downcast is Taylor, whose outstanding game was one of the bright points for Sacramento and caused some other teams to take notice.

Denver was led by Fripp (29 points, 2 steals, a block), Davidson (7 points, 17 assists, a steal), Simmons (19 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 2 blocks). Sacramento was led by Taylor (9 points, 14 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block), Paskowitz (24 points, a block), Westbrook (17 points, 5 boards, 2 assists).

Denver stand at 19-9 and 12-5 at home. They stay at #1 in the Northwest and hold at #2 overall in the Western Conference. Sacramento drop to 10-16 with the loss. They hold at #2 in the Pacific and move down to #10 overall in the Western Conference.
