CVBL: Detroit Can't Be Stopped
Detroit ruined the day for Boston with a 90-60 blowout. In a pregame interview, Boston coach Bob was optimistic about his team's chances. "We've made some mistakes lately, but if everyone does what they are supposed to we can beat Detroit. Don't get me wrong, David Smith has built a good team and there's a reason they're the favorites. But we're just as good if we stop making our mental mistakes." Said Boston star Owens, "Coach is right. We've done some reworking of our talent and our game plan, and we've got what it takes to play with Detroit."
Those predictions turned out to be wishful thinking, as Bob and his team will go back to the drawing boards after getting shredded in today's game.
Detroit was led by Henderson (10 points, 23 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Graham (18 points, a steal, a block), Gilliam (18 points, a steal). Boston was led by Owens (20 points, 1 assists, a block), Morse (12 points, 7 boards, 0 assists), Pack (6 points, 5 boards, 3 assists).
Detroit are now 25-1 with this win. They hold at #1 in the Central and hold at #1 overall in the Eastern Conference. Boston drop to 6-22 and 4-10 at home. They stay at #5 in the Atlantic and hold at #15 overall in the Eastern Conference.
