CVBL: Oklahoma Cty Pulls Out Win Over Phoenix 114-106

Oklahoma Cty, led by Golden, got the critical win in today's matchup against Phoenix. After the game, the Oklahoma Cty star was surrounded by would-be interviewers, a not uncommon sight recently as he has moved into a leading role on his team. After taking a few questions, he met his long-time friend, Phoenix's Celaya, who had played his heart out during the game only to come up short. "It's always tough when we play, he said. I always like to see him do well, and vice versa. But we can't both come out winners as long as we're on different teams." Rumors continue to circulate about the two friends trying to find their way onto the same team.

Oklahoma Cty was led by Golden (26 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks), Johnson (28 points, 7 boards, 2 assists), Lemon (10 points). Phoenix was led by Celaya (37 points, 7 boards, 4 assists), Mercer (7 points, 10 assists, 3 steals), Dupree (17 points, 1 assists).

Oklahoma Cty stand at 14-14 and 6-6 at home with the victory. They stay at #5 in the Northwest and move up to #9 overall in the Western Conference. With today's defeat, Phoenix stand at 14-14. They remain at #3 in the Pacific and fall to #10 overall in the Western Conference.
