CVBL: Philadelphia 108, Atlanta 103
The fans got what they came out for, as Philadelphia won a seesaw 108-103 victory over Atlanta. "What a great game to have been a part of," said Philadelphia star Franklin. "The momentum kept changing and neither team really had a chance to run away with the game. It just came down to having more in the tank at the end, and that was us."
Atlanta coach Bob was less enthusiastic about the game. "We had our chances to win the game, but didn't convert them. I'm most bothered that it seemed like we faded down the stretch; I think we may need to spend a little more time working on conditioning in the future. Regardless, it was a great game. Franklin and [Atlanta star] Conner really put on a show for the fans."
Philadelphia was led by Franklin (23 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Roberson (20 points, a steal), Simmons (17 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, a block). Atlanta was led by Conner (20 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, a steal), Wade (18 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Baker (23 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks).
Philadelphia improve to 16-10. They remain at #2 in the Atlantic and move up to #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta are now 12-15 and 8-6 at home after today's loss. They remain at #4 in the Southeast and remain at #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
