CVBL: Brooklyn Wins Over Philadelphia 100-77
Brooklyn showed their mettle today with a convincing 100-77 win over Philadelphia. "After some of the games we've had, I think we've left some doubt as to whether we can solidly beat anybody," said head coach Bob after the game. "I don't know that one game will erase those doubts, but I can certainly see the difference in the locker room."
The win came largely as the result of a great effort by Duncan, the Brooklyn star. Said Bob of him, "The game would have gone down to the wire without Duncan's efforts today. He really made the difference between another tough battle and a dominating win."
Brooklyn was led by Duncan (19 points, 23 boards, 4 assists), Hazan (18 points, 2 steals), Green (19 points, 1 assists, a block). Philadelphia was led by Madison (14 points, a steal, 2 blocks), Conley (12 points, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Flournoy (8 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a block).
Brooklyn stand at 16-12 and 10-6 at home. They stay at #2 in the Atlantic and remain at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. With today's loss, Philadelphia drop to 18-11. They stay at #1 in the Atlantic and stay at #2 overall in the Eastern Conference.
