CVBL: Detroit Escapes in Overtime

Detroit overcame a series of miscues with a narrow 103-94 overtime win over Minnesota. Detroit coach David Smith was visibly relieved in the post-game interview. "We sure gave ourselves a fright today. The number of mistakes we made, we were lucky to even be tied after regulation and be able to get the overtime win. Fortunately we weren't playing a very strong team, and we were able to pull ourselves together in time."

Detroit was led by Henderson (23 points, 21 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Graham (29 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a block), Kay (9 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals, a block). Minnesota was led by Gisi (14 points, 20 boards, 4 assists, a block), Smith (37 points, a block), Dirks (16 points, 8 boards, 11 assists).

Detroit improve to 22-6 and 11-3 at home with this win. They remain at #1 in the Central and hold at #1 overall in the Eastern Conference. Minnesota fall to 16-9. They hold at #2 in the Northwest and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference.
