CVBL: Utah Beats Chicago

Utah beat Chicago today in a 96-91 game that was close the whole way. For much of the game, it looked like Chicago would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Cobbs. But the tide finally turned in the end, with Utah star Robinson leading his team to victory.

"Definitely a great game," said Utah coach Coach Young after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Robinson was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."

Utah was led by Robinson (23 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Patton (21 points, 0 assists), Perkins (15 points, a block). Chicago was led by Cobbs (20 points, 2 blocks), Byrd (22 points, a steal, a block), Smith (14 points, 2 blocks).

Utah have been victorious in the past 8 games and jump to 22-5. They hold at #1 in the Northwest and move up to #2 overall in the Western Conference. Chicago drop to 10-17 and 6-6 at home with today's defeat. They remain at #4 in the Central and remain at #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
