CVBL: Utah Steamrolls Houston 111-86
After the game was over, Houston left the stadium with their heads between their legs after being on the losing end of a 111-86 blowout against Utah. In the post-game press conference, Utah coach Coach Young spoke of how his team came out ready to play and didn't let up once they got ahead. Led by Bowling, Utah was able to hold off the few runs made by Houston. Coach Bob of Houston said, "I really thought we had a chance to win this game. Hopefully next game we will come out ready to play. Maybe I need to take our ping pong table out of the clubhouse."
Utah was led by Bowling (26 points, 1 assists, a steal), Henderson (12 points, 15 boards, 2 assists), Dixson (24 points). Houston was led by Howard (38 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Conner (14 points, 2 assists, a block), Wallace (5 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks).
Utah improve to 15-12 and 10-4 at home with the win. They stay at #2 in the Northwest and move up to #5 overall in the Western Conference. Houston fall to 18-9 with this defeat. They remain at #1 in the Southwest and fall to #3 overall in the Western Conference.
