CVBL: No Contest as Milwaukee Stomps Miami
An old-fashioned blowout was in the cards today, as Milwaukee outscored Miami 119-83. Neither the win nor the final score came as a huge surprise to some observers, who consider Miami one of the most pitiful teams in league history. "They ought to drop down a couple divisions," said one pundit. "Today's game was just one more bit of evidence that they can't compete at this level. Maybe if they got a new coach and a new roster they could, but until then it's going to be more games like this."
Bob is hoping to turn things around a bit quicker. "We'll have to study the tapes tonight and figure out where they beat us. Some better preparation and we'll have no problems matching up against teams like this."
Milwaukee was led by Reynolds (18 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Williams (19 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a block), Thomas (14 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, a block). Miami was led by Hargrove (7 points, 5 boards, 4 assists, a steal), Banks (11 points, a steal), Cook (12 points, 2 blocks).
After the victory, Milwaukee are now 18-9. They stay at #3 in the Central and stay at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference. Miami drop to 13-16 and 10-5 at home with the loss. They stay at #5 in the Southeast and drop to #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
