CVBL: Sacramento Beats Dallas 106-97
Gilliam led Sacramento to victory today over Dallas in a 106-97 game. "It was a tough one to lose," said losing coach Bob. "I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Gilliam made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."
Sacramento coach Bob was equally admiring of his star. "Dallas were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Gilliam and getting the win today."
Sacramento was led by Gilliam (37 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, a block), Stanford (12 points, 12 boards, 4 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Sherrill (14 points, 1 assists, 3 blocks). Dallas was led by Thompson (23 points, 14 boards, 1 assists, a block), Langley (22 points, 0 assists, a block), Olguin (16 points).
Sacramento are now 24-5 after the win. They stay at #1 in the Pacific and remain at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Dallas are now 12-16 and 8-8 at home after today's loss. They stay at #3 in the Southwest and hold at #11 overall in the Western Conference.
