CVBL: Houston Coasts Past Minnesota

Houston served notice that their time has come, thanks to an impressive 106-94 win over Minnesota. "I think a lot of people have overlooked us," said Coach Bob after the game. "Maybe with this game and a few more quality wins, the rest of the league will start to take notice." Minnesota certainly took notice today, as losing coach Bob said "We really expected to put on a better game than this. But Houston were just too good."

Houston was led by Sims (9 points, 13 boards, 5 assists, 5 blocks), Battle (25 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, a block), Robertson (10 points, 6 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks). Minnesota was led by Dirks (19 points, 2 steals, 3 blocks), Smith (27 points, 2 assists), Gisi (6 points, 12 boards, 0 assists, 5 blocks).

Houston jump to 21-7 and 11-0 at home. They hold at #2 in the Southwest and remain at #4 overall in the Western Conference. With this defeat, Minnesota fall to 16-10. They stay at #2 in the Northwest and remain at #6 overall in the Western Conference.
