CVBL: Indiana Cruises to 107-94 Win over Houston
Indiana brushed past an overmatched Houston team today 107-94. Always politically correct, Indiana coach Coach Hitch stated simply "We just managed to do what we needed to get done out there. The players had solid execution all around, and Mack's effort helped set the pace. Houston is a team we've had success against in the past, which I think gave us a bit more confidence coming in."
Houston coach Bob was a little more frank. "We knew going in that we'd need a miracle to beat Indiana, and we didn't get it. They have better players and a better coach, and did what they were supposed to do out there. I'm just glad the final score wasn't even worse."
Indiana was led by Mack (8 points, 10 boards, 20 assists, 5 steals, a block), Sigler (12 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, a steal, 4 blocks), Wade (20 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, a block). Houston was led by Sims (19 points, 12 boards, 2 assists, a block), Fox (18 points, 5 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks), Robertson (6 points, 9 assists, 4 steals).
After the victory, Indiana are now 16-13 and 10-4 at home. They hold at #2 in the Central and hold at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. With this defeat, Houston drop to 15-15. They hold at #3 in the Southwest and stay at #10 overall in the Western Conference.
