CVBL: Put it on the Board: Brooklyn Wins

Brooklyn gave a solid effort, handling New York with ease in today's 113-98 win. This came as no surprise to Brooklyn fans, who have been watching their team continue to improve recently. Players are starting to feel more confident as well. "I feel we can take on just about anybody right now," said today's star, Owens. "The way this team's playing, there's no limit to how far we can go." Brooklyn head coach Bob echoed his sentiment, saying "They all know they're as good as any other team in the league. They just have to stay focused and keep working, and the rest will take care of itself."

Lost in the excitement over Brooklyn was the performance of New York star Ortega.

Brooklyn was led by Owens (27 points, 4 assists), Jackson (12 points, 7 boards, 8 assists, 2 steals), Jeanlouis (17 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks). New York was led by Ortega (31 points), Seidel (16 points, a steal, a block), Adkins (13 points, 2 assists, a steal, a block).

Brooklyn stand at 18-9 after the victory. They stay at #1 in the Atlantic and remain at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the defeat, New York drop to 11-19 and 7-10 at home. They stay at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #12 overall in the Eastern Conference.
