CVBL: San Antonio Breaks out Whoopin' Stick
San Antonio took Memphis to school today with a textbook-quality 128-102 beating. The game wasn't even as close as the final score, as San Antonio coasted for much of the game on its huge cushion. "We just floundered around like idiots out there," said Memphis star Morgan. "Even midway through the game we knew it would take a miracle to pull out a win against San Antonio."
Coach Bob admitted as much early in the game when he said, "We're getting beaten up like some high-schoolers. Even when it looks like we have a chance to do something, we can't. This just isn't a pretty game, unless you're a San Antonio fan."
San Antonio was led by Feaster (16 points, 14 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals, a block), Mackey (27 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, a block), Logan (14 points, 0 assists, 3 blocks). Memphis was led by Morgan (15 points, a steal), Gill (15 points, a block), Mcwilliams (9 points, 3 assists, a steal, a block).
