CVBL: Put it on the Board: Philadelphia Wins
Everything clicked for Philadelphia today, as they soundly beat Miami 109-97. Miami looked beaten for most of the afternoon, and the final outcome was in little doubt. "I thought we came out ready to play, but we were just overmatched," said Miami coach Bob. "It's kind of demoralizing to lose that way, knowing that you played your best and it wasn't nearly enough." Bob now has the unenviable task of getting his team ready to face another day.
Philadelphia coach Bob couldn't be happier, though. His game plan was executed perfectly, and his players were able to dominate all aspects of the game. "It's great to get a win like this, when everything went according to plan."
Philadelphia was led by Wilson (6 points, 15 assists, a steal, a block), Ziegler (23 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a block), Austin (21 points, 0 assists, 2 blocks). Miami was led by Keeney (24 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals, a block), Colomb (14 points, 13 boards, 3 assists), Hannah (18 points, 1 assists, a block).
Philadelphia are now 20-9 and 15-3 at home. They remain at #3 in the Atlantic and hold at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference. Miami drop to 13-15 after this defeat. They hold at #1 in the Southeast and remain at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
