CVBL: Phoenix Outplays a Better Detroit Team 93-84
Phoenix got just enough breaks to upset Detroit, 93-84. The pace of play was clearly dictated by Detroit, showing who was the better team. But Phoenix came up with the right plays at the right times to convert more scoring chances and come away with the win.
"We got our share of luck today," acknowledged Phoenix coach Bob. "They pretty much dictated the game but we were able to get the job done when it mattered. Whitfield really helped us out there; we couldn't have pulled it off without him."
