CVBL: San Antonio Does What it Takes to Stun Houston 121-111
San Antonio got just enough breaks to upset Houston, 121-111. The pace of play was clearly dictated by Houston, showing who was the better team. But San Antonio came up with the right plays at the right times to convert more scoring chances and come away with the win.
"We got our share of luck today," acknowledged San Antonio coach Bob. "They pretty much dictated the game but we were able to get the job done when it mattered. Logan really helped us out there; we couldn't have pulled it off without him."
San Antonio was led by Logan (16 points, 14 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks), Lanham (20 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks), Chatman (7 points, 13 assists, 3 steals). Houston was led by Howard (28 points, a steal, 3 blocks), Roberson (11 points, 14 assists, a steal), James (15 points, 13 boards, 1 assists, 4 blocks).
After this win, San Antonio improve to 18-13 and 13-6 at home. They stay at #2 in the Southwest and move up to #5 overall in the Western Conference. Houston fall to 19-10. They stay at #1 in the Southwest and hold at #3 overall in the Western Conference.
