CVBL: Brooklyn Routs Golden State 100-72

A rock-solid Brooklyn team routed Golden State, 100-72. "It sure felt good out there," said today's star, Lee. "We basically accomplished what we wanted to do on offense and defense. Coach's game plan worked perfectly."

Golden State coach Perez Suarez was disappointed with the game, but not completely surprised. "Brooklyn is a great team, and we knew going in that if they played their best we didn't stand a chance. The only way we were going to win was if we got some breaks, and we didn't. But it was a great learning experience; they showed us our weaknesses."

Brooklyn was led by Lee (22 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Miller (8 points, 3 steals, a block), Hester (16 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, 2 steals). Golden State was led by Proctor (7 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Adkins (7 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, a block), Whitley (12 points, 5 boards, 1 assists).

Brooklyn stand at 22-8 after today's win. They improve to #1 in the Atlantic and advance to #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. After the defeat, Golden State drop to 9-21 and 6-9 at home. They stay at #4 in the Pacific and hold at #13 overall in the Western Conference.
