CVBL: Bob Gets Big Win over Toronto
Everything clicked for Sacramento today, as they soundly beat Toronto 81-63. Toronto looked beaten for most of the afternoon, and the final outcome was in little doubt. "I thought we came out ready to play, but we were just overmatched," said Toronto coach Bob. "It's kind of demoralizing to lose that way, knowing that you played your best and it wasn't nearly enough." Bob now has the unenviable task of getting his team ready to face another day.
Sacramento coach Bob couldn't be happier, though. His game plan was executed perfectly, and his players were able to dominate all aspects of the game. "It's great to get a win like this, when everything went according to plan."
Sacramento was led by Stanford (14 points, 21 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks), Sherrill (25 points, 1 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks), Bravo (13 points, 1 assists). Toronto was led by Perkins (18 points, a block), Creer (6 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals, a block), Daniels (11 points, a steal).
With today's victory, Sacramento stand at 23-8. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and remain at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Toronto stand at 14-15 and 9-5 at home after today's defeat. They stay at #4 in the Atlantic and stay at #7 overall in the Eastern Conference.
