CVBL: Atlanta Stumbles, Miami Win
Jackson had 43 points today, but the biggest cause of today's 125-112 Miami upset was a series of mistakes by Atlanta. "We just lost our focus," said Atlanta coach Bob. "Frankly, they were overmatched and they knew it. We did what we wanted for most of the game, but just blew it. What a tough way to go. You have to give them credit - they stuck around against a tougher opponent and were in position to take advantage when we gave them freebies."
Miami was led by Jackson (43 points, 9 boards, 3 assists, a steal, 4 blocks), Frost (21 points, 12 boards, 2 assists), Lisa (25 points, a block). Atlanta was led by Jackson (29 points, 15 boards, 4 assists, 3 blocks), Calloway (6 points, 22 assists, 2 steals), Mcnair (22 points, 3 assists, a steal, 2 blocks).
Miami improve to 13-17 and 7-7 at home. They hold at #3 in the Southeast and improve to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta drop to 17-14 after today's defeat. They remain at #1 in the Southeast and remain at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
