CVBL: Bob Ecstatic as New York Upset San Antonio

A great outing by Rowe was enough to offset a superior San Antonio team and key a 117-111 upset by New York. There's no question that San Antonio is the better team, and even after today's loss they remain ranked ahead of New York. But that wasn't important today, when Rowe took over and carried his team to a win. "What a gift," grinned New York coach Bob. "The rest of the team got outplayed, but Rowe stepped up and got us the win. No complaints, but we'd be surprised to get another win over San Antonio."

Said losing coach Bob, "What a tough way to lose. It seemed like we had everything under control today. We pretty much did what we wanted, except for Rowe."

New York was led by Rowe (33 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Adkins (23 points), Gause (9 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, a block). San Antonio was led by Almanzar (5 points, 17 assists, 5 steals), Logan (20 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Feaster (9 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 3 blocks).

New York improve to 15-17. They remain at #3 in the Atlantic and advance to #9 overall in the Eastern Conference. San Antonio fall to 18-14 and 13-7 at home. They stay at #2 in the Southwest and fall to #6 overall in the Western Conference.
