CVBL: Portland Beats Utah
Portland came out on top in an exciting game against Utah. "I'm sure it was a dream game for the fans, with the result in the balance down to the end," said Portland coach Bob. "But these sorts of games give me gray hair."
Bob and his counterpart, Utah coach Coach Young, brought out the best in their teams. "Not a lot of mistakes from either side," said Coach Young. "That's what I like to see. Of course, I'd like to see us win as well but only one team can do that. Portland just played better, and we have to tip our hats to them."
Portland was led by Smith (26 points, 5 boards, 11 assists, 6 steals), Vanderveer (10 points, 13 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), White (6 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals, a block).
