CVBL: Utah Takes Easy Win over Charlotte
Utah looked like champions today, beating Charlotte 116-94. "That's the best we've seen them for a while," said an overwhelmed Charlotte coach Bob. "None of the tapes we had of them showed the fluid execution that we saw out there today, and frankly we just weren't prepared as well as they were. I take full responsibility for that; with better preparation we could have won. Instead they just took over the game and never let us back in."
Utah was led by Henderson (15 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, 4 blocks), Riser (5 points, 12 assists, 5 steals), Bowling (21 points, a block). Charlotte was led by Sandercock (17 points), Olbrantz (18 points), Lawson (5 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, a block).
Utah improve to 18-13 and 11-4 at home. They stay at #2 in the Northwest and remain at #5 overall in the Western Conference. With this defeat, Charlotte fall to 13-17. They drop to #4 in the Southeast and drop to #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
