CVBL: Memphis Wins 109-96
Memphis posted a solid 109-96 win over Charlotte today. "I don't think we left any doubt over who was the better team today," said Memphis coach Bob. "We pretty much did whatever we wanted out there, and I don't think they ever figured out what to do about Murray's play."
It will be a tough task for Charlotte coach Bob to get his team up for their next game. "We really came in believing that we had a shot to win this one, but obviously that didn't happen. They outplayed us from the start, and there weren't too many happy faces in the locker room afterwards."
Memphis was led by Murray (22 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Calloway (6 points, 11 assists, 3 steals), Brown (14 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks). Charlotte was led by Leonard (27 points, a block), Neal (7 points, 9 assists, 2 steals), Cervantes (16 points, 7 boards, 0 assists).
Memphis improve to 20-10 with the victory. They remain at #1 in the Southwest and remain at #3 overall in the Western Conference. Charlotte are now 9-23 and 7-11 at home with today's loss. They hold at #5 in the Southeast and stay at #14 overall in the Eastern Conference.
