CVBL: Denver Snatches Win over San Antonio
Denver came out on top in an exciting game against San Antonio. "I'm sure it was a dream game for the fans, with the result in the balance down to the end," said Denver coach Bob. "But these sorts of games give me gray hair."
Bob and his counterpart, San Antonio coach Bob, brought out the best in their teams. "Not a lot of mistakes from either side," said Bob. "That's what I like to see. Of course, I'd like to see us win as well but only one team can do that. Denver just played better, and we have to tip our hats to them."
Denver was led by Davis (25 points, 19 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Beachum (28 points), Slayton (14 points, a block). San Antonio was led by Meyers (29 points, 2 assists, a block), Owens (28 points, 2 blocks), Gorman (6 points, 8 assists, 2 steals).
Denver jump to 16-15 and 12-6 at home. They advance to #3 in the Northwest and move up to #7 overall in the Western Conference. With this defeat, San Antonio drop to 13-20. They stay at #5 in the Southwest and hold at #13 overall in the Western Conference.
