CVBL: Bob Elated as San Antonio Upsets Brooklyn in Overtime
San Antonio was too much for Brooklyn to handle in their 117-115 overtime win. The upset was a big win for coach Bob and San Antonio. "We played our hearts out today. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen the team give so much effort. Duncan was fabulous for us, and we really stepped it up a notch in overtime."
For Brooklyn it was a tough loss. "We really thought we had this one, then we just blew it in overtime", said Brooklyn star Owens. Bob would not comment on the game.
San Antonio was led by Duncan (32 points, 27 boards, 1 assists), Almanzar (5 points, 14 assists, 4 steals), Logan (22 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a block). Brooklyn was led by Owens (48 points, 9 boards, 5 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks), Hargrove (11 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Tucker (12 points, 2 steals, a block).
After the victory, San Antonio jump to 15-18. They stay at #4 in the Southwest and stay at #7 overall in the Western Conference. After today's loss, Brooklyn drop to 19-11 and 12-4 at home. They remain at #1 in the Atlantic and hold at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
