CVBL: LA Clippers Gets Easy Win
LA Clippers showed their mettle today with a convincing 84-71 win over San Antonio. "After some of the games we've had, I think we've left some doubt as to whether we can solidly beat anybody," said head coach Bob after the game. "I don't know that one game will erase those doubts, but I can certainly see the difference in the locker room."
The win came largely as the result of a great effort by Davidson, the LA Clippers star. Said Bob of him, "The game would have gone down to the wire without Davidson's efforts today. He really made the difference between another tough battle and a dominating win."
LA Clippers was led by Davidson (15 points, 2 steals), Hayes (16 points, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Thomas (6 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, a block). San Antonio was led by Wright (18 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Meyers (10 points, 2 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Mack (12 points, 3 assists, 2 blocks).
With this victory, LA Clippers stand at 22-8 and 12-4 at home. They advance to #1 in the Pacific and improve to #1 overall in the Western Conference. San Antonio extended their losing streak 12 games and are now 8-26. They stay at #5 in the Southwest and hold at #15 overall in the Western Conference.
