CVBL: Boston Takes Out Brooklyn in a Big Win for Bob

Triplett's great game led Boston to a 112-102 upset of Brooklyn. "He really gave us the win," said winning coach Bob. "I think the rest of the team really felt intimidated coming in, but Triplett showed them that we could pull off the win. You could really see the confidence build as time went on."

Jackson paced Brooklyn, but his effort was not enough. "It's easy to blame the star when we come up short," said Brooklyn coach Bob. "But really, if we all played like him we'd have won. It's just that we sometimes take him for granted and sit around watching him dominate. Today's game served as a wake-up call for the rest of the team."

Boston was led by Triplett (22 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, a steal, 5 blocks), Flake (27 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Golden (10 points, 16 boards, 1 assists). Brooklyn was led by Jackson (5 points, 2 steals), Hargrove (16 points, 16 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Owens (24 points, a steal, a block).

Boston are now 10-24 after today's victory. They stay at #5 in the Atlantic and stay at #15 overall in the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn are now 19-12 and 12-5 at home. They drop to #2 in the Atlantic and drop to #5 overall in the Eastern Conference.
