CVBL: Philadelphia Wins Confidently Over Brooklyn 114-102
Philadelphia looked like champions today, beating Brooklyn 114-102. "That's the best we've seen them for a while," said an overwhelmed Brooklyn coach Bob. "None of the tapes we had of them showed the fluid execution that we saw out there today, and frankly we just weren't prepared as well as they were. I take full responsibility for that; with better preparation we could have won. Instead they just took over the game and never let us back in."
Philadelphia was led by Franklin (27 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, a block), Scott (15 points, 5 boards, 4 assists, a block), Roberson (5 points, a steal, a block). Brooklyn was led by Jackson (6 points, 15 assists, a steal, a block), Tucker (31 points), Owens (15 points, 4 assists, a block).
Philadelphia stand at 21-12. They hold at #1 in the Atlantic and hold at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. With this defeat, Brooklyn are now 19-13 and 12-6 at home. They stay at #2 in the Atlantic and fall to #7 overall in the Eastern Conference.
