CVBL: Utah 90, Indiana 84 in Upset Win
"Utah Cheat Indiana," screamed the headlines this morning after some questionable officiating in last night's contest. Even neutral observers wonder whether the set of refs will ever be asked to call another game, as Utah got the benefit of every marginal call and a few others that were obviously bad. "The game was rigged more than the WWF," said an upset Indiana coach Coach Hitch after the game. "You've seen the replays. I don't need to say any more." League officials were slower to jump to conclusions, but an anonymous source said that the commissioner was watching the broadcast and couldn't believe his eyes in some cases. "The commish was saying he could have made better calls off his 5 inch travel TV."
Utah was led by Williams (29 points, 3 steals, a block), Edmonds (12 points, 24 boards, 0 assists, a block), Brown (21 points, 6 boards, 2 assists). Indiana was led by Williams (21 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block), Henderson (14 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, a steal), Cato (16 points, 0 assists).
With this win, Utah stand at 13-23 and 8-10 at home. They remain at #5 in the Northwest and stay at #12 overall in the Western Conference. Indiana are now 19-14 with the loss. They stay at #4 in the Central and stay at #8 overall in the Eastern Conference.
