CVBL: LA Clippers Beats Boston 102-95
LA Clippers downed Boston today 102-95, thanks to a solid effort by star Edmonds. The game lived up to its hype, with both teams having their moments but neither side able to dominate for any extended length of time. Said Edmonds after the game, "This one could have easily gone either way. We're just glad that we came out with the win." Coach Adnan Bislimovic echoed the sentiments, saying "Boston came out strong and ready to play, and we knew from the start that it would be a battle out there. Probably if we played them 10 times, both sides would get five wins. But we got the win today, and that's what counts."
Boston players were disappointed after the game, and coach Bob had his hands full keeping their spirits up. "They know they played their hearts out today, and that it wasn't enough. That's a tough feeling. Especially for Mcfadden, who had one heck of a game but couldn't carry the whole team on his shoulders."
LA Clippers was led by Edmonds (20 points, 18 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Newton (9 points, 10 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Farlough (6 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks). Boston was led by Mcfadden (11 points, 16 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Manly (20 points, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Dixon (18 points, 2 assists).
LA Clippers have won their last 9 games and are now 34-13 and 20-3 at home. They hold at #1 in the Pacific and hold at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Boston stand at 20-26 with this loss. They stay at #4 in the Atlantic and hold at #9 overall in the Eastern Conference.
