CVBL: Boston Huge over Oklahoma Cty

Perhaps suffering from overconfidence, Oklahoma Cty dropped a 111-100 game to underdog Boston. Oklahoma Cty coach Bob battled unsuccessfully to get his players to take the game seriously, as they came in as heavy favorites. "What more can you do? We prepared as much for them as any other opponent, we made sure we came up with a custom game plan for them, but most of the players just expected Boston to roll over dead."

Boston coach Bob, on the other hand, was thrilled to come away with the win. "I don't know what it was, but I could see from the start that they weren't executing as sharply as normal. I knew we couldn't beat them if they played well, but I felt they were leaving just enough of an opening for us to steal a win. That's exactly what happened, and by the time they finally started to wake up we were well in control."

Boston was led by Whitfield (22 points, 14 boards, 2 assists, 4 blocks), Washington (15 points, 10 assists, 3 steals), Bell (14 points, 11 boards, 3 assists, a steal, 3 blocks). Oklahoma Cty was led by Kimbell (25 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Hodges (24 points, 1 assists), Bell (6 points, 15 boards, 3 assists).

Boston are now 15-31 and 11-12 at home. They remain at #5 in the Atlantic and hold at #12 overall in the Eastern Conference. Oklahoma Cty fall to 27-21 with today's defeat. They remain at #3 in the Northwest and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference.
