CVBL: Boston Surprises Milwaukee 106-93
Boston came out solid today, defying the predictions and notching the 106-93 upset of Milwaukee. "Somebody forgot to tell them they were underdogs," quipped Milwaukee coach Bob after the game. "No question, they were the better team out there today and deserved this win. I thought we came in prepared, but that was just a lot better than we've seen Boston play for some time."
Credit has to be given to Boston coach Bob, who brought his team together after some tough losses earlier and has them playing at their best. "Some of the us really took those losses hard," said star Mcfadden. "But coach sat us down and showed us what we were doing wrong and what we needed to do to turn around. That was great to hear, and you saw the results today."
Boston was led by Mcfadden (22 points, 15 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Mcneil (8 points, 14 assists), Manly (21 points, a steal). Milwaukee was led by Reynolds (15 points, 11 boards, 2 assists, a block), Williams (14 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Mcghee (17 points, 0 assists, 2 blocks).
Boston jump to 21-26 and 11-12 at home after today's win. They hold at #4 in the Atlantic and remain at #9 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the loss, Milwaukee fall to 33-15. They hold at #1 in the Central and stay at #1 overall in the Eastern Conference.
