CVBL: Houston Gets Solid 112-94 Win
Houston dominated Denver today, winning by a final score of 112-94. Although the score was 0-0 at the start of the game, Houston quickly took charge and, aside from brief flurries of activity by Denver, were never really threatened. "We were schooled out there," said Denver coach Bob. "I mean it wasn't a blowout, but they sure were in control the entire game. [Houston coach] Bob did a great job getting his team ready for the game, and Wallace was nearly unstoppable."
Houston was led by Wallace (10 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 4 blocks), Rogers (9 points, 10 boards, 4 assists, a steal, a block), Howard (22 points, 1 assists, a block). Denver was led by Upshur (18 points, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Strong (13 points, 2 assists, 3 steals, a block), Davis (16 points, 1 assists, 3 blocks).
Houston stand at 3-0 and 1-0 at home after today's win. They move up to #1 in the Southwest and move up to #1 overall in the Western Conference. Denver stand at 1-2 with this loss. They hold at #3 in the Northwest and fall to #10 overall in the Western Conference.
