CVBL: Brooklyn Go Up 1-0 in Eastern Conference Finals
Brooklyn lead the Eastern Conference Finals 1-0 by schooling Milwaukee with a textbook-quality 115-83 beating. The game wasn't even as close as the final score, as Brooklyn coasted for much of the game on its huge cushion. "We just floundered around like idiots out there," said Milwaukee star Valentine. "Even midway through the game we knew it would take a miracle to pull out a win against Brooklyn."
Coach Bob admitted as much early in the game when he said, "We're getting beaten up like some high-schoolers. Even when it looks like we have a chance to do something, we can't. This just isn't a pretty game, unless you're a Brooklyn fan."
Brooklyn was led by Owens (19 points, a block), Hazan (19 points, a steal, a block), Goltz (15 points, 2 assists, a block). Milwaukee was led by Valentine (8 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, a steal, a block), Thomas (18 points, 6 boards, 0 assists), Reese (18 points, 0 assists).
