CVBL: Sacramento Cruises Past Minnesota
Sacramento showed their mettle today with a convincing 105-92 win over Minnesota. "After some of the games we've had, I think we've left some doubt as to whether we can solidly beat anybody," said head coach Bob after the game. "I don't know that one game will erase those doubts, but I can certainly see the difference in the locker room."
The win came largely as the result of a great effort by Davis, the Sacramento star. Said Bob of him, "The game would have gone down to the wire without Davis's efforts today. He really made the difference between another tough battle and a dominating win."
Sacramento was led by Davis (17 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, a block), Sherrill (30 points, 0 assists), Stanford (15 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, a block). Minnesota was led by Prince (11 points, 7 assists, 3 steals), Lundy (21 points, a steal, a block), Dirks (14 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block).
Sacramento jump to 8-2 and 4-1 at home with the victory. They stay at #1 in the Pacific and remain at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Minnesota stand at 5-6. They fall to #4 in the Northwest and move down to #10 overall in the Western Conference.
