CVBL: LA Clippers Blows Past Washington 131-98

Anytime LA Clippers square off with Washington, unexpected things happen. Today it was Washington head coach Bob who gave LA Clippers bulletin-board material and ended up eating crow, thanks to some ill-timed comments he made earlier in the day. Two hours before game-time, Bob said that "LA Clippers shouldn't even show up tonight. We're pumped, we're on a hot streak, and we're just better. We're gonna win so big LA Clippers might never recover." After the game, the only one from LA Clippers to speak was head coach Adnan Bislimovic, who said simply, "Scoreboard, baby." Final score: LA Clippers 131, Washington 98.

LA Clippers was led by Minor (24 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Boswell (8 points, 5 boards, 10 assists, 3 steals, a block), Francois (29 points, a steal). Washington was led by Powell (18 points), Garrett (12 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Telfer (19 points).

LA Clippers jump to 8-1 and 4-1 at home. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and stay at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Washington stand at 4-5 with this loss. They hold at #3 in the Southeast and fall to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference.
